Random Thoughts

Now a days I don't feel like studying at all. I don't pay attention in classes. Recently in a class, on 15th October, a few thoughts came across my mind. Have put them together in form of a poem. Hope you find these interesting. Please do give your comments, they work as a tonic :)


Meri sooni panahon ko nigaahon me sajaa lo tum,
Labon ki an-kahi baatien jo hain dil me chhupa lo tum,
Samaa ye jaan-sheen sa keh raha rimjhim ghataaon se,
Mohabbat ki duhaai hai, mujhe apna bana lo tum..

Teri aankhon ka jaadu teri baaton ki adaa hai jo,
Teri saanso ki garmi aur dhadkan ki sadaa hai jo,
Ye vo lamha hai jisko waqt se maine churaya hai,

20-20 World Cup

Writing after a long time..just was not getting into rhythm to express myself...but now as my favorite sport (for that matter our country's favorite) cricket is on air..I thought to put in my two pence..

20-20 is indeed a very interesting format of the game..at least from a viewer's perspective..its a 'paisa-vasool' for ground spectators and 'complete time-pass' for TV viewers..what do u want to see in a cricket match...rains of 4s and 6s...and thats what 20-20 is all about..right..

Well...right now super 8 stage is set for best 8 teams of the tournament..i feel pity on west indies, because despite having a decent (in fact better than many others) team and some amazing stroke players..it crashed out in the 1st round itself..and due respect to Zimbabwe for their magnificent show against mighty kangaroos..they truly deserve a big applause..

I am an optimist..and hence i still feel that 'India' will make it to the Semifinals despite its loss to New Zealand day before..thought this seems a very unrealistic situation given the NPAs (Non Performing Assets) we have in our team..we dont have good bowlers to bowl in death...we dont have good arms..we dont take sitters (leave aside unbelievable catches)..and finally we dont have power hitters except sehwag and dhoni..hence though the road ahead is tough but I m hopeful that we will make it..

My favorites are as always 'Australia'...and after the shocking defeat against Zimbabwe in the opener they have shown how cruel they are..England must be knowing it better..

Next 7 days will clarify all my assumptions and expectations..but whatever the case be...its the viewer who wins in this contest..

Birthday Boy :)

So the much awaited day has come....I m 22 years old now..my future is shortened by yet another year...(oops i should be optimistic..huh..)..but this year has been exceptionally eventful in my life...in fact i have never been so busy and active in any year till i joined IIM Indore..

It has been simply amazing...lots of fun...entertainment...activities...apart from regular class room interesting (??) stuff...roamed around the city whole year..lots of night outs working for group assignments..ample presentations to make..and really i just didnt realize that i m going to celebrate my 2nd b'day on this campus so quick...it just seems to be a moment back when i celebrated my last bday..time has flown surprisingly fast...

Thanks everyone associated with me for last one year...u people have made it memorable..
